SAMPLE PROJECTS
Updated Spring 2005
To provide you with a feeling for the range of projects Livet Reichard
has produced, we are pleased to include several sample Case Histories
in each of the five areas where we excel: Fund-raising Dinners, Art Auctions
and Sales, Art Editions and Special Projects, Public Relations, and Audience
Development. Additional Case Histories and references are available upon
request.
Fund-raising Dinners
The Drawing Center
Livet Reichard has worked with The Drawing Center to produce their Gala
since 2003. We begin each year by working closely with the organization's
Board to identify strong leadership who would be capable of soliciting
high-level financial support of the dinner that celebrated the opening
of their historical spring exhibition. In addition, noted artists Brice
Marden, Richard Serra, and Richard Tuttle have been honored for their
steadfast support of the institution. We have continually altered several
elements of the evening in an effort to reinvigorate a formula that had
remained unchanged for many of the previous 35 Drawing Center galas. The
dinner has consistently raised more money and been better attended with
each passing year.
New Museum of Contemporary Art
Livet Reichard has consulted the New Museum of Contemporary Art on their
annual gala since 2001, helping to reinvigorate their event and increase
fund-raising results. We have assisted them in re-designing several aspects
of their event, including venue and décor, and also helped secure several
important donations for their auction. In the second year, following the
September 11 tragedy, we chose "Saluting Downtown New York" as the theme
of the gala. Further, we introduced them to Movado, who became a corporate
sponsor and provided their entertaining credit with the New York Stock
Exchange to allow the cocktail portion of the event to take place on the
NYSE trading floor with 1960s pop icon Petula Clark performing her classic
song, "Downtown". Livet Reichard introduced the concept of celebrity Honorary
Chairs in 2004, when designer Marc Jacobs served in that capacity. Sir
Elton John was Honorary Chair of the 2005 event. The event has consistently
raised more than the previous year, and in 2004, broke the $1 million
mark with over 720 guests.
amfAR and ACRIA
amfAR and ACRIA joined forces in 2005 to execute An Evening Honoring Herb
Ritts, the first dinner honoring the late photographer since his death
in 2002. The evening featured a benefit dinner chaired by Ross Bleckner,
Dorthea and Jon Bon Jovi, Kenneth Cole, Richard Gere, Mathilde Krim, Ph.D.,
Kelly and Ron Meyer, Alain Dominique Perrin, Jane and Terry Semel, Sharon
Stone, and Anna Wintour. A select art sale of work donated by 9 contemporary
artists was also unveiled the night of the event, and is expected to generate
an additional $650,000 in revenues by the time all works are placed. To
date, the evening has raised in excess of $630,000.

Art Auctions and Sales
amfAR-Two by Two for AIDS and Art
Two by Two for AIDS and Art was designed to unite the American Foundation
for AIDS Research (amfAR) and the Dallas Museum of Art in an effort to
raise funds in Dallas. Today, it is one of the most anticipated and successful
events on the Dallas social calendar, attracting the community's most
prominent social figures and wide coverage in the local media. Since the
inaugural event in 1999, we have raised in excess of $7.5 million for
the two organizations. Two by Two for AIDS and Art consists of a dinner
and auction of contemporary art held in the magnificent Richard Meier-designed
house of Dallas collectors Cindy and Howard Rachofsky. Actresses Sharon
Stone, Sigourney Weaver, Shirley Maclaine, and Liza Minelli have all traveled
to Dallas to serve as Honorary Chairs and to help conduct the Live Auction
of major works of contemporary art and luxury good packages. In addition
to the main event, on Sunday morning, following the Saturday night party,
we host a luncheon in a prominent collector's home to honor an artist
with the amfAR "Award of Excellence for Artistic Contributions to the
Fight Against AIDS". Previous recipients include Robert Rauschenberg,
Julian Schnabel, Ed Ruscha, April Gornik, and Joel Shapiro.
Cunningham Dance Foundation/Merce Cunningham Dance Company
The 2002-2003 season marked the 50th Anniversary of the Merce Cunningham
Dance Company. To celebrate, the Cunningham Dance Foundation asked Livet
Reichard to coordinate a million dollar art sale. Working with a committee
of Cunningham board members, Livet Reichard secured 25 works with an aggregate
value of nearly $2 million. A preview was held at Paula Cooper Gallery
in New York followed by a cocktail party in the Merce Cunningham Studios.
An intimate dinner for participating artists and high level donors followed
in Roy Lichtenstein's studio.
Planned Parenthood
In 2003, as Roe v. Wade appeared to be jeopardy, Livet Reichard approached
Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic (PPHP) about mounting a major benefit
art auction to raise awareness at such a critical moment. In order to
capitalize on the momentum being built by "The March for Women's Lives"
planned in Washington DC in April 2004, PPHP chose to pair themselves
with the national Planned Parenthood organization, as well as other regional
Planned Parenthoods (New York City and Nassau County) to mount a $1million
event. Livet Reichard coordinated all aspects of the auction and cocktail
party which was held at Sotheby's in February 2004. As part of Choice
Art, photographer Cindy Sherman created a limited edition print, which
Livet Reichard marketed on behalf of Planned Parenthood. The event raised
more than $1.3 million for the four organizations.

Art Editions and Special Projects
Art and Sole
To celebrate the opening of Bergdorf Goodman's new shoe salon, Livet Reichard
oversaw the production of a series of limited edition shoes that were
designed collaboratively by contemporary artists and designers. Damien
Hirst, Manolo Blahnik and Jeff Koons all participated in this innovative
project creating editions that were sold by Bergdorf Goodman to benefit
the New Museum of Contemporary Art. The shoes were unveiled at a party
at the store followed by an after party at Chambers Hotel, which Livet
Reichard also oversaw.
BAM Portfolios and Single Print Projects
Livet Reichard has over the last 20 years implemented several lucrative
print and photography portfolios to benefit BAM and is recently completed
the second in a series of exclusive photography portfolios.

Audience Development
World Financial Center
In 1988, Livet Reichard conceived and implemented the opening events for
The World Financial Center (WFC) in New York City for Olympia & York Companies
(USA). A major corporate, residential, and commercial development located
on a landfill on the Hudson River near Battery Park, the goal for the
opening was to attract the affluent SoHo art world to this new urban park
and upscale shopping area. To lure this audience, a major art and architecture
exhibition on the theme of contemporary city life entitled The New Urban
Landscape was curated by Annie Philbin and organized and executed by Livet
Reichard. The firm also organized an opening reception, dinner and concert.
Livet Reichard supervised all elements of the project in conjunction with
Olympia & York including identification of 28 artist participants, installation
and maintenance of exhibition, audience development, brochure and catalogue
and opening events.
Brooklyn Academy of Music
The Brooklyn Academy of Music, retained the firm in 1981 to expand BAM's
audience to include members of the contemporary art world. Later, Livet
Reichard assisted BAM in implementing the marketing study that lead to
the formation of the acclaimed Next Wave Festival and initiated many internal
fundraising programs such as the Producers' Council, the Collaborative
Arts Council, the Next Wave Festival Journal, and the Next Wave Festival
Gala.
